Police Need Help in Identifying Bank Robber

The FBI and Davis police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a man who robbed the US Bank at 304 F Street, Davis, California, on September 30, 2008.

The robbery occurred at 10:42 a.m. when a lone white male entered the bank and presented a note to the teller demanding money. Initially, the teller thought the note was a joke but quickly complied with his demands when the robber stated he was “serious” and wanted money.

The man was wearing a blue long sleeve button down shirt, dark slacks and dark dress shoes. After receiving the money from the teller he fled.

The suspect is described as 30 to 50 years old, around 5-foot-7 to 6-foot, and weighing 200 to 280 pounds with a heavy build. He has short brown/gray hair and wears prescription glasses.

The Sacramento Violent Crimes Task Force, consisting of FBI Agents and Sacramento County Sheriffs Robbery Detectives, and the Davis Police Department are seeking information regarding this robbery. Anyone with information is asked to contact the FBI in Sacramento at (916) 481-9110, or Crime Alert at (916) 443-HELP. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.00.
