Disguised Gunman Robs Citrus Heights Bank

Wearing a red “beanie” hat and dark sunglasses, a lone gunman robbed a bank in Citrus Heights this past week-end. The robbery occurred shortly after the Bank of America branch located at 7965 Auburn Boulevard opened for business on Saturday morning.

After the bank the gunman approached the teller counter and placed a handgun on the coentering unter in front of one of the tellers and demanded money. The teller handed him the money and he fled.

The suspect is described as a white male with dark hair, 35 to 45 years old, around 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10.

The Sacramento Violent Crimes Task Force consisting of FBI agents and Sacramento County Sheriffs Robbery Detectives, and the Citrus Heights Police Department are seeking information regarding this robbery.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the FBI in Sacramento at (916) 481-9110, or Crime Alert at (916) 443-HELP. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.00.
