FBI and Police Searching for 'Grocery List' Bandit
A serial bank robber is on the loose again in
Sacramento. Authorities are searching for a man believed
to be responsible for three bank robberies and one
attempted bank robbery in the Sacramento area during
the period March 17, 2008, to May 6, 2008. The unidentified
man has been dubbed the 'Grocery List' bandit by law
enforcement officials as all of the victim banks have
been located inside local grocery store chains. The
Sacramento Violent Crimes Task Force (SVCTF), comprised
of Federal Bureau of Investigation Agents and Sacramento
County Sheriff's Department Robbery Detectives, is
seeking information on this unidentified male bank
robber.
The
suspect, described as a black male with a light complexion,
is in his early 20's and is approximately 6' tall
with a slim build.
Following
is a summary of the bank robberies believed to be
the work of the 'Grocery List' bandit:
March 17, 2008, the Bank of America located inside
the Save-Mart grocery store, 2501 Fair Oaks Boulevard,
Sacramento, California;
April
18, 2008, the Wells Fargo Bank located inside the
Raley's Supermarket, 3518 Marconi Avenue, Sacramento,
California. Bank surveillance photos show the same
individual in the bank the day before the robbery;
May
6, 2008, an attempted robbery at the U.S. Bank located
inside the Save-Mart grocery store, 2735 Marconi Avenue,
Sacramento, California; and
May
6, 2008, the Wells Fargo Bank located inside the Raley's
Supermarket, 7847 Lichen Drive, Sacramento, California.
A
note was used in each of the robberies and no weapons
were used or displayed. Wells Fargo Bank has offered
a reward of $5,000 for information leading to the
arrest and conviction of the bank robbery suspect.

anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to
