FBI and Robbery Detectives Seek Information on Unsolved Bank Robbery
On April 9, 2008, the US Bank branch located inside the Safeway Supermarket, 3320 Arden Way, Sacramento, California, was robbed. The robbery occurred at approximately 10:30 a.m. when a lone male approached the teller’s counter and handed the teller a note demanding money. No weapon was seen and shortly after making his demand the robber exited the bank. Investigation has revealed that the bank robbery suspect was accompanied by a second individual who did not approach the teller counter. Following the robbery both males were observed leaving the supermarket together. No description of a getaway vehicle was available.
The robber is described as a black male, 22 – 30 years of age, 6’1” to 6’2” and approximately 200 - 230 lbs. The robber wore a black shirt and a red Houston Astros baseball cap.
The second individual is described as a black or Hispanic male, 22 – 30 years of age, shorter in height with a thin build. The second individual wore a white or gray sweatshirt with the hood over his head.
The Sacramento Violent Crimes Task Force, comprised of FBI agents and Sacramento County Sheriff's Department robbery detectives, are seeking information on this unidentified male bank robber. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.00.
